Part 141 Advantage

Distinguished Flight Training at its Finest

All flight schools and flight instructors are expected to follow and train students to meet the requirements listed in the Federal Aviation Regulations FAA Part 61.

Many years ago, The Federal Aviation Administration developed an additional set of regulations that allowed for a reduction in required training hours – so long as flight schools maintained facilities that met strict FAA standards, utilized an approved curriculum and teaching methods, and meticulously recorded all flight and ground school lessons, on top of maintaining aircraft under more stringent oversight.

Today, only a small fraction of flight schools in the United States meet the standards of FAA Part 141, of which Wings Flight Training now belongs!

FAA Part 61 further complicates this issue as your entire flight training record is contained solely in your logbook, requiring an additional review of your skills from the next instructor. In the Part 141 environment, your flight records are meticulously maintained so that your flight training is seamless regardless of the circumstances.

Numerous students have made their way to Wings Flight Training, with many of them expressing their frustration with the constant restarts of their training every time they transitioned to a new instructor. While we are certainly not immune to such a change in personnel, we can assure you that it will never impact your flight training or that you will be stuck in the loop of endlessly demonstrating your skills to a new instructor before moving forward.
